FASTT Math
As the rigor of education and instruction continues through the grade levels, students must now be able to move from factually fluent to mathematically flexible. This means students need to automatically recall basic facts so their working memory is used for more complext thinking.
FASTT Math is a program designed to assisst students in becoming fluent in all four mathematical operations by building stamina through practice.
Students log onto FASTT Math and complete 2 lessons per day. Students start in Addition 0-9 and work their way through the four operations (Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division) mastering all facts on each grid. Once they have cleared their personal Fact Grid, they will start the program again practicing the four operations with facts 0-12.
When students complete a lesson, they are given a game board to choose from to continue practicing fluency. As they earn focus facts, they are able to unlock new games and background schemes!
Do you have a stack of playing cards?! You can practice fluency at home during family game night! Play addition, or multiplication war with your child and help them build stamina while having fun!
