One of our priorities as teachers, educators and parents is to ensure that our students are able to use appropriate internet access in secure ways.
Digital literacy and good digital citizenship are two key concepts to continue that process. We try our best to limit our student exposure to cyber thress, irrelevant or inapporpariate material on the internet, as such companies are complinng safe search engines designed with our young learners in mind. Some of our most popular search engines, such as Google, Yahoo and Bing can also be used with the proper settings in place that will make them more kid friendly and ad limitations to meet our "safe" needs. These parental controls can be access in the settings on each each site. We have also compiled a list of safe search engines below and while many of the listed sites are add free, there are some that require limited advertisment.
